Abstract
A patient with a cardiac pacemaker implant presented with a broadened mediastinal contour upon chest radiography. Using computed tomography, a 12 cm paracardial fluid collection was found that did not correspond with the preicardial sac. Since an atrial electrode was located within the paracardial fluid collection, a perforated right atrium was diagnosed.
