Abstract

Questions from patients about analgesic pharmacotherapy and responses from authors are presented to help educate patients and make them more effective self-advocates. The topic addressed in this issue is traveling with a pain medication pump with discussion of planning, maintenance, contacts in case of pump emergency, time intervals between refills, symptoms of overdose or withdrawal from the pump medication, and good communication with health care providers.
