Abstract
This chapter discusses the common and uncommon forms of carpal coalition and then presents a variety of manifestations of amni- otic bands. Following split-hand anomaly, macrodystrophia lipomatosa is discussed, followed by a brief discussion of symphalangism. Poland syndrome is discussed in greater depth. Four digital curvatures (clinodactyly, camptodactyly, Kirner deformity, longitudinal epiphyseal bracket) are presented. The chapter concludes with a discussion of thumb malfor-mations, including those that are accompanied with potentially serious systemic manifestations (VACTERL association, Holt-Oram syndrome, Fanconi anemia, erythrogenesis imperfecta, and thrombocytopenia-absent radius).
