Abstract
The effect of dilute sprays on the flow evolution in the near field of a turbulent round jet is investigated experimentally and simulated numerically at a moderate Reynolds number (Re=l0,000). The dispersion of tagged droplets is measured and simulated and the influence of the spray on the flow structures in the near field is determined numerically.
