Abstract

To the Editor: In their letter on sexist English in the February 9 issue of the Journal the DeBakeys express the hope that the Editor “…will not be cowed into making a capricious change in usage.” Would an ardent feminist insist that the Editor should not be bullied either? No extract is available for articles shorter than 400 words.
