Abstract
The random synthetic peptide library screening method based on the "one-bead one-peptide concept" (Selectide Process) can be used as a general method for the identification of peptide substrate motif for post-translational modifications. We applied this method to the cAMP-dependent protein kinase system and were able to rapidly identify a peptide motif (RRXS) that exactly matched that described for its natural substrates.
