Abstract
The purpose of this Note is to test the role that velocity correlations of the turbulent shear stresses play in a stochastic simulation of particle dispersion in a jet. A conventional Lagrangian stochastic simulation of particle motion has been applied in conjunction with a second-order Eulerian closure model for a turbulent jet. The shear stresses have been introduced by correlating the axial and radial velocity components in an appropriate manner.
