Abstract
A patient with cyclic variation in blood pressure secondary to A V dissociation with fortuitous relation to respiratory cycle is presented. The pathophysiologic mechanisms of true and 'pseudo' pulsus paradoxus and criteria for diagnosis are reviewed.
