The goals of this chapter are (1) to provide a guide to agencies regulating equine sport; (2) to review ophthalmic diseases that may affect performance; (3) to give examples of regulations regarding ophthalmic disease; (4) to review medications used to treat ophthalmic disease that may affect performance or may be regulated; and (5) to give examples of regulations regarding medications used to treat ophthalmic disease.
