Abstract

Degenerative changes in the cervical spine may be asymptomatic or associated with protean symptoms and signs. Although the imaging of patients with neck pain is common, costly, and controversial, most authorities believe that MR imaging is the single best test to detect and distinguish confidently among the various clinical differential diagnostic possibilities that may cause neck pain.
