MR imaging anatomy of the infant hip

Abstract

This anatomic study has documented the MR appearances of the infant hip by using T1, spin-density, T2, and fat-suppression pulse sequences and has compared them with dissections and anatomic sections. This anatomic correlation should facilitate identification of normal and abnormal hip structures on clinical images, enabling further development and use of this promising technique for imaging of the pediatric hip joint.
