Abstract
In a 1 1/2 yr old heifer a lymphosarcoma of the brain was diagnosed, and the animal was euthanatized. In the 150-cow herd of origin, 4 cases of lymphosarcoma had been diagnosed in the previous year. Necropsy revealed a 6-cm multilobular light tan mass in the area of the left trigeminal ganglion. The histopathologic diagnosis was lymphocytic lymphosarcoma. Tonsils, cervical lymph nodes and other body organs were not affected. Single mass involvement or a primary lesion in the CNS are not typical for bovine lymphosarcoma.
