Abstract
Localized dynamics in wide band-gap optical materials was investigated during laser-induced dynamics. It was observed that optical materials absorbs energy from the laser pulses and produced ionized region that gives rise to broadband emissions. It was also observed that dynamics of local pressure and enegry density can be determined fron the observed plasma and lattice temperatures. It was found that peak value of energy density and pressure were 30KJ/cm3 and 1021 cm-3 respectively.
