Abstract
A survey of the present status of intra-arterial chemotherapy is given. It is stressed that more basic knowledge must be gained of the pathophysiologic effect of various cytostatics when infused intra-arterially, and that to determine the role of intra-arterial chemotherapy randomized prospective studies are necessary.
