Abstract

cyclo-Elimination reactivity differences in I→II are reported. These reactivity differences dictate the selection of Wang resin for N1-substituted hydantoin formation and Merrifield resin for N1-unsubstituted hydantoin formation. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
