High-speed, amplified, frequency swept laser at 20kHz sweep rates for OCT imaging

Abstract

We demonstrate a high-speed, frequency swept, 1300nm laser for Fourier domain OCT. The laser generates ~45 mW instantaneous power with 20kHz sweep rates and achieves 108dB sensitivity and 12.7 um resolution.
