Translated title of the contribution: Hematoma of the aortic wall

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Aortic wall hematoma is increasingly observed in patients presenting with acute chest pain. The differential diagnoses include aortic dissection and atherosclerotic disease of the aortic wall. Computed tomography, echocardiography and magnetic resonance imaging are used to establish the diagnosis, and recent advances in CT technology greatly improve our ability to detect aortic wall hematoma. Both the etiology and treatment of this entity remain controversial at present.
