Endoscopic evaluation of the gastric antrum

Abstract

Forty patients with radiologically abnormal antrums were studied gastroscopically; 50% were found to be normal on endoscopy. Suspected malignancy of the antrum should be confirmed by fiberoptic gastroscopy before surgical exploration is carried out.
