Effect of rhTNFR: Fc on synoviocytes from rats with adjuvant arthritis

Objective: To investigate the effect of rhTNFR: Fc on proliferation and cytokines production of synoviocytes from adjuvant arthritis (AA) rats. Methods: AA rats were induced by complete Freund adjuvant. The proliferation of synoviocytes was detected by 3H-TdR. The levels of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-17, LTα, RANKL and MMP-13 in supernate of synoviocytes were assessed by ELISA. Results: Administration of rhTNFR: Fc significantly inhibited the proliferation of synoviocytes and decreased the secretion of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-17, LTα, RANKL and MMP-13. Conclusions: Our results indicate that rhTNFR: Fc significantly reduces the proliferation and proinflammatory cytokines production of synoviocytes, which might be one of the therapeutic mechanisms for rhTNFR: Fc in AA.
