Abstract
The diagnosis of shock is difficult to establish because it is based on clinical and biological evidence of inflammatory response imbalance and overstepping of the boundary of compensated and decompensated stress. General treatment consists of re-establishment of hemodynamic parameters by intravenous administration of solution, support of the cardiac system and optimisation of pulmonary ventilation and oxygenation of blood. Prevention and treatment of secondary disorders is imperative.
