Abstract

The emphasis upon group statistical designs of experiments gives the impression that practitioners who work with one subject at a time cannot do research. Arguments to the contrary and descriptions of how treatment of individual clients can be designed to yield valid conclusions regarding treatment efficacy were given in this paper. Finally, the utility of such studies for the design of future treatment plans was discussed.
