Abstract
A novel ring structure of formula C26H32Si2 has been formed by oxidation of 1,2-bis(1-trimethylsilyl-2-indenyl)ethane during attempted TiCl3(tHf)3 complexation. Two indenyl groups are linked by a cyclohexane ring having a chair conformation and the resulting dihedral angle between the planes of the indenyl groups is 10.6(1)°.
