Correction of T cell function by thymosin in New Zealand mice

Abstract

The authors administered thymosin fraction V to 7 mth NZB/W female mice in attempting to restore the immunologic capacity of these animals. These studies demonstrate that thymosin restored several of the T cell dependent immunologic abnormalities of aging NZB/W mice. These restoration studies do not distinguish between the generation of T cells from precursor cells and the maturation or altered circulation of existing T cells.
