title = "Continuous magnetophoretic enrichment of rare tumor cells",
abstract = "We present the Continuous-flow Magnetic Activated Cell Sorter (CMACS) device which is capable of enriching rare magnetic particles with high purity. The microfabricated ferromagnetic strips within the microfluidic channels create high magnetic field gradients, which generate the magnetophoretic separation forces. We report on the effective separation of magnetically labeled Human Lymphoma (Jurkat) cells from non-target cells and compare its performance against commercially available macro-scale systems.",
