Abstract
This report describes the case management of a suspected clostridial enteritis with concurrent traumatic beak amputation and radial fracture in an adult female mallard (Anas platyrhynchos). The Clostridium-associated diarrhea responded well to standard antimicrobial treatment, but the duck remained anorexic and required aggressive nutritional support. Environmental enrichment was required to resolve the anorexia.
