Abstract

As a result of reading this article, physicians should be able to: 1. Define the different types of bone grafting. 2. Describe indications for use of autograft and allograft and the advantages and drawbacks of each. 3. Describe common complications of autograft and allograft techniques. 4. Explain the problems associated with vascularized allografts and composite tissue transplantation.
