Abstract
We describe a case of acute hepatitis C virus infection presenting with dilated cardiomyopathy. Because recent evidence suggests that treatment during the acute phase of the illness may have significantly better prognosis, patients who present with dilated cardiomyopathy should be evaluated for hepatitis C virus infection.
