Abstract
Giant cell tumor of bone (osteoclastoma) is a rare entity in the dog and cat. This is a case report of a giant cell tumor of bone affecting the distal humerus of a dog. The tumor fulfills the clinical, radiographic, and histological criteria necessary for the differentiation of this condition from other tumors and tumor-like entities affecting bone. The concept of fine-needle aspiration biopsy as a useful aid in the diagnosis of bone tumors is also introduced.
